"Selling YOU...Ready, Set, Go!" BACKGROUND Some presidents in the past have chosen to "theme" their presidency. The theme for my presidency for 2017/2018 is to "run the Cosmopolitan Club like a business." With the significant revenue that our club generates with our 200 members (and growing), it is critical that we apply business sense to every decision that we make as an organization. In the spirit of this theme, we have invited Gary Kieper, CEPA, CFBA to speak at our first luncheon on Thursday 9/28/17 at 12:00 at Forest Hills Country Club. The title of his presentation is "Selling YOU ... Ready, Set, Go!" ABOUT GARY Gary has just finished his first book titled "READY, SET, GO!" that was a collaboration between himself and Brian Tracy, who is a highly recognized public figure in the world of motivational speaking and self development. The book is set to launch this fall. Besides an author, Gary is a sales trainer, coach, speaker, certified exit planning advisor, and a certified family business advisor. He is also a prospective Cosmo member. You do not want to miss this presentation that will be one of the first of its kind for the Rockford Cosmopolitan Club. Please use the link to register. Sincerely, John LiCausi |

Sheriff Gary Caruana has been an active Cosmo member for almost 4 years. His presentations to our club have always been extremely informative! Even though his schedule is extremely busy, he has agreed to speak to the Cosmos at one of our most heavily attended lunches, the poinsettia packet pick up lunch. Hear Sheriff Caruana's presentation, have lunch, and snag your poinsettia packet so that we can kickoff another great fundraising event! Let's have a great turnout to support Sheriff Caruana. Sincerely, John LiCausi Club President 2017/2018 |

For 9 years, Derek Bergsten has been the Chief of the Rockford Fire Department. It is no secret that our fire department has been busy lately with multiple building fires. He has cleared time in his schedule to present an update to our club. Let's show him how much we appreciate his service to our community by bringing a great turnout to this lunch! Please use the link to RSVP to this lunch event. Sincerely, John LiCausi Club President 2017/2018

LaMonica Beverages has invited the Rockford Cosmopolitan Club to their private bar inside their distribution center. The event will include beer provided by LaMonica Beverages with Rick LaMonica as our host for the evening. We will also have food, and if the weather cooperates, the patio will be open for cigars (bring your own). Come join us for some of the best beer served in our region! There will be some wine, water and soda available for those who would like other options. IMPORTANT: This event is limited to 45 attendees due to the space of the bar inside their facility. This is a stag social event. The cost is $15/person (billed to your account) to cover food. There will be no Cosmo lunch on this particular Thursday. Use the link to reserve your spot! See you there!
