Thank you for your interest in submitting a grant application to our Charities Board.

The focus for gifting is to address a specific need or a tangible asset. Tangible assets may include items such as educational resources, equipment, room renovations, etc.

Grant requests for fundraising events or operating/administration expenses should NOT be the primary focus of this application.

The main emphasis of our grant process will be to fund local youth programs and/or organizations involved with prevention, education, or research of diabetes.

However, we consider all applications.

Grant Submissions are due by NOON on April 15, 2022
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION GUIDELINES
1) COSMO MEMBER INVOLVEMENT:

Our members are very important to us, and we are always looking to increase our membership. The more members we have, the more money we are able to raise. It is not required for submitted grant applications to be affiliated with the involvement of any of our individual members; however, it is certainly encouraged. Please make sure to mention the involvement of any of our members within your charitable organization if applicable.

2) AMOUNT BEING REQUESTED:

Please know that we receive applications from many worthy charitable organizations each year.  The amount of money you are requesting is a factor within our evaluation process, as our goal is to award as many eligible grants as possible with the annual funds available.  Please note that most of our awarded grants range from $500 to $4,000.

3) RECIPROCATION TO OUR CLUB:

Because we work so hard to raise the funds being awarded each year, we sincerely appreciate the efforts of the recipients to reciprocate by providing recognition to our club.  Examples include:

a) Uploading our Cosmopolitan Club logo to your organization’s website and hyperlinking it to https://www.RFDCosmo.org.
b) Recognizing our club within all of your organization’s social media channels on how the granted money will impact your organization and the community.
c) Naming rights, club logo, plaque, etc on or near funded item.
d) Press release to local media outlets.

4) LENGTH OF GRANT APPLICATION:

Our Charities Board members invest a significant amount of their personal time to review all grant submissions. Please be respectful in regards to the length of your project/program description.

5) CUSTOMIZATION OF YOUR APPLICATION:

We realize that our club is not the only entity for which you may apply for funding. As a result, in many cases, these applications read extremely “general” in nature. The more you can customize your project/program description to the primary goals of our club, the better!  Please read this page of our website for more information about our club:  https://rfdcosmo.org/page/history.

6) REGISTER FOR EMAIL UPDATES FROM OUR CHARITIES BOARD:

Please help us modernize our grant application process by registering your name and email to our database PRIOR to submitting this application.  We will use this list to send updates on the grant application process each year, and also to periodically update you on our club events.  You may insert your information into the form below.

If you are already registered for our update list, then below the form you will then see the purple button to begin the online application.
