Lunch: Jay Sandine - Rockford Park District

Join us for our upcoming Cosmo lunch on Thursday, April 9th, featuring special guest Jay Sandine, Executive Director of the Rockford Park District.

Jay has served as Executive Director since 2017 and brings nearly three decades of experience with the Park District. Starting in maintenance at Elliot Golf Course, he has worked his way through leadership roles overseeing nearly every major operation—including golf, aquatics, ice facilities, Sportscore complexes, park maintenance, and revenue development. He holds an MBA from Rockford University and is a graduate of the National Recreation and Park Association’s Directors School.

In addition to his leadership at the Park District, Jay has played an active role in the Rockford community through partnerships with organizations such as the YMCA, The First Tee of Greater Rockford, Hard Rock, Six Flags Great America, and the Rockford IceHogs. He also serves on several local boards and was an original contributor to Transform Rockford’s Shared Values and Process teams.

This will be a great opportunity to hear insights on community development, partnerships, and the future of parks and recreation in Rockford.
