Lunch: Darren Bailey - IL GOP Gubernatorial Candidate

Join us for next week’s Cosmo lunch as we welcome Darren Bailey, candidate for Governor of Illinois.

Darren is a third-generation farmer, business owner, and former State Senator from Southern Illinois. Alongside his sons, he operates Bailey Family Farm, where the values of hard work, faith, and integrity have shaped both his life and leadership.

He and his wife Cindy, married for 39 years, have been deeply involved in their community—founding a private Christian school and serving extensively in local education, including Darren’s 17 years on the North Clay Board of Education, 12 as President.

In Springfield, Darren served in both the Illinois House and Senate, where he focused on fiscal responsibility, tax relief, and supporting Illinois agriculture, including serving as the lead Republican on the Senate Agriculture Committee. He is also known for declining a taxpayer-funded pension.

Darren and Cindy continue to live on and operate their family farm near Louisville, Illinois, where they enjoy time with their four children and thirteen grandchildren.
